Simon Wiesenthal (1908–2005) was a Jewish architect and Holocaust survivor who dedicated his life to collecting testimonials and information about Nazi war criminals in order to bring them to justice. He was successful in having more than 1,100 Nazis tried for their responsibility in the mass murders.
