This is a deluxe edition of an earlier book of animal fables, written in Yiddish and first printed in Verona in 1595, with dozens of wood engravings. The Verona edition was innovative, both in content and in illustration. The later editions changed the style and illustrations. Of the first edition, only a few copies remain. In 1984, Dr. Moshe N. Rosenfeld of London printed a limited, numbered facsimile edition of 300, of them, ten on lambskin. These are numbered 1–10. This copy is number 2, with the signature of the publisher next to the number.
