R. Meir Kahane
Never Again – by Meir Kahane, in which he expounds on his position of Jewish pride. Los Angeles. 1971. VII, 287 pp., 21.5 cm.
First edition of this book, in English. Meir Kahane was born in New York in 1932, and earned both semicha and a degree in law. He established the ‘Jewish Defense League’ and was very active in the battle for emigration rights for Soviet Jewry. The book was written shortly before his immigration to Israel. In Israel, he established the Kach movement, and in 1984 was elected to the Knesset, following a successful legal battle. In 1988, his party was outlawed from the Knesset as being racist, and he was shunned by the Israeli establishment. He was assassinated in 1990 after delivering an address in New York, by an Arab assassin.
With a handwritten dedication by the author (in English).
In excellent condition, with its original orange paper jacket, bearing the symbol of a clenched fist.
