Theodor Herzl
Commemorative booklet in memory of Dr. Theodor Herzl, written shortly after his death, by ”Shalom Aleichem.” Odessa. 26 July, 1904. 45, [1] pp., with a printed soft-cover binding. 19 cm.
This is probably the first book in memory of Dr. Herzl, as it was published only a few weeks after his passing. It is written by Shalom Rabinowitz, better known by his pseudonym ”Shalom Aleichem, ” and printed in a vowelized Yiddish. There are photographs of Herzl, his son Hans, and on the last page, a large picture of his three children. The booklet is bound with a soft-cover binding featuring a large picture of Herzl standing on the famous balcony in Switzerland.
In very good condition. Printed on paper with acid content.
