Early 20th Century Russian Silver Etrog Container

Silver etrog box with corners and a hinged cover. Hallmarked. [Russia, early 20^th century]. 14 x 9.5 cm. Height: 7 cm. Weight: 317 gr.

Engraved on the cover is the verse: “And you shall take for yourselves … the fruit of a tree of splendor, ” possibly from a later period. The box stands on four legs and is of a beautiful design.
