Book of fables, originally puplished in Frankfurt in 1697, translated into German, with an introduction by Aaron Freiman. Berlin. 1926. XVI, 97 pp., 29.5 cm.

In the 1920s, the Soncino publishing house in Berlin reprinted translations and facsimiles of important early books. In 1924, it published a facsimile of Sefer Meshalim, parables of animals, which was originally published in 1697. Two years later this edition was printed, a German translation of the work. Printed on the frontispiece is the emblem of the Gershom Soncino press. See A. Yaari: Diglei HaMadpsim HaIvri’im, no. 6.

Printed on high grade paper. In very good condition and in its original restored binding with the Soncino emblem embossed on it. Waterstained.
