A broad commentary on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, second section, by R. Benzion HaLevi Lachtman, rabbi of Beirut, Lebanon. Beirut, Shlomo Eliyahu Mann press. 1952. [1] 214 leaves, 33 cm.

This is the only edition of this large work on the Shulchan Aruch. The author was born in Podolia in 1891 and immigrated to Lebanon in 1934, where he served as Chief Rabbi. He left Beirut between 1957 and 1960 and immigrated to Israel where he passed away in 1964. Here is one of the few Hebrew books and the only halachic work printed in Beirut. It is very rare. The CD of the Institute for Hebrew Bibliography has only the first volume recorded, which was printed in Jerusalem.

With the handwritten dedication by the author to R. Alter Chanoch Henoch Leibowitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Chofetz Chaim in Queens, New York.

In excellent condition and in its original embossed binding. The cover is slightly worn.
