Lot 118:
Laws and regulations of the Spanish and Portuguese Shaar HaShamayim synagogue, London. London, 1872. V, [1], 103 pp., 21.5 cm.
The book is in English (translated from Portuguese), with 34 chapters. The Shaar HaShamayim community is the first Jewish community established in england after the return of the Jews to its shores in the mid-17th century. It would periodically update its laws and regulation and print them in a small limited edition, thus explaining the extreme rarity of the book.
In very good condition, with its original binding with gold embossing.
