Lot 180:
Small metal charity box, for the benefit of the Jews of Eretz Israel. [Early 20th century]. 8 x 6 x 4 cm.
A tin painted charity box with a nice border. It belonged to the ”Vaad HaKlali of the Ashkenazim, Perushim and Chassidim” in Jerusalem. An inscription in Yiddish reads “Eretz Israel box” and a list of the funds supported by this charity. With the stamp of the committee in Hebrew and English and its New York name “Central Committee Knesseth Israel” and address. The box has a strip of metal with holes meant for attaching it to a wall.
The box was preserved in very good condition.
