Only edition. R. Moshe Nechemia (Kahana) Kahanov was born in Russia in 1817, becoming the Rabbi of Petrovice and Khaslavich. In 1863 he moved to Jerusalem becoming dean of the Etz Chaim yeshiva, Jerusalem’s most important Torah institution at that time. He passed away in 1887. R. Kahanov wrote many books including: “Netivot Shalom ” responsa and novella, “Eretz Chefetz ” on the laws of tithes, and “Sha’alu Shlom Yerushalaim ” describing life in Jerusalem.
